Williams was a highly-rated recruit as 247Sports had him as their seventh overall prospect in the country for the 2022 class. He was 24th for ESPN. Williams joined Georgia in 2022 and is now in his third year with the program. Over the last two years, Williams has played in 28 games and recorded 12 starts.

Williams made an immediate impact as a freshman with 31 quarterback hurries. In 2023, Williams had 26 pressures. As a draft prospect, Williams is gifted physically and athletically. He has prototypical size with his height, weight, and length. Off the ball, Williams is explosive with his get-off. He can reach a fast top-end speed and has quickness to boot. With his size, length, and speed, Williams has the ability to convert to power. At the top of his rush, Williams has the bend and flexibility to get low and turn the corner. Williams is a high-effort player who can contribute against the run, setting hard edges. Lastly, Williams possesses a ton of positional flexibility to line up all across the defensive front.
Final Thoughts
Williams’ Outlook for 2024:
Expect Williams to a have breakout, dominant junior year. He should record an uptick in sacks and make even more splash plays with his exceptional skillset. This season should unquestionably be Williams’ best one yet before he enters the draft.
2025 NFL Draft Status:
Williams has all the tools to be a top-10 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. He will not turn 21 years old until late next June. His youth, size, athletic ability, and hopefully, breakout statistically this year could make him a tantalizing prospect. Williams currently projects to be a top two to three edge defender in this class.
